THE TUMIPI AND LUSONG COLD SPRING IN BARANGAY PUTING BATO, CABADBARAN CITY, AGUSAN DEL NORTE

PUTING BATO, PROVINCE OF AGUSAN DEL NORTE

Puting Bato is a barangay in the city of Cabadbaran, in the province of Agusan del Norte. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 3,362. This represented 4.18% of the total population of Cabadbaran.

There’s a place in Cabadbaran City that hasn’t gain much attention but turns out to be top of the CARAGA spotted tourist’s destinations here in Agusan del Norte and other provinces with its mesmerizing mountain view, cold waterfalls, and springs which gives a very beautiful view of the whole mountain. On the top of the high white rock mountain, we can see the whole City of Cabadbaran.

The place is called the Puting Bato, which we translated to English as “white rock”.  Cabadbaran City is known for having its fresh flowing water and for its hidden tourist destinations. One of the most beautiful and unforgettable tourist destinations in Cabadbaran City is the Tumipi and Lusong Cold Spring in Putting Bato, Cabadbaran City province of Agusan del Norte.

I grew up in Cabadbaran City and as a Cabadbaranon I am proud to say that we are abundant in various tourism destinations. Some of my best travel experience here in Cabadbaran is the Tumipi and Lusong Cold Spring in Puting Bato.

Way back April 30, 2017, I took the chance to visit the place and it was my first time to experience the beautiful Tumipi Cold Spring which is not known yet to the tourists. When I get arrived at the Tumipi Spring I was just shocked because of its crystal clear and fresh flowing water from the mountain of Puting Bato.

Before going to the Tumipi Cold Spring, along the way you will be enticed to stop and capture the beautiful mountains which are perfectly untouched and wrapped by green trees that lined up along the road and a glimpse of a flowing river. Locals from neighboring cities are drawn to visit the falls as it is famous for its cold spring that can make you freeze.

HOW TO REACH PUTING BATO?

📍If you’re from Butuan City you can ride a bus bound to Cabadbaran City. The transportation fee is not the same as before due to its COVID-19 pandemic.

📍From Cabadbaran City bus terminal you can ride a single motor or “habal-habal” to reach the Tumipi and Lusong Cold Spring. The transportation fee is depending on the driver of a single motor or the habal-habal driver.

TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING

🖋It’s better if you negotiate with the motor driver to pick you up at your convenient time.
🖋You can bring your food or meals. There are small stored along the way but only snacks can be bought.
🖋Don’t forget to bring lots of drinking water.

🖋Don’t forget to bring masks, face shields, hand sanitizer, and alcohol to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic and also safety medical kits.

✔Bring your trash with you to prevent a clean and healthy environment of the Putting Bato

TUMIPI AND LUSONG COLD SPRING

   

July 31, 2021, we go to Tumipi and Lusong Cold Spring to survey some tourists who visits Putting Bato as a respondent in our survey questionnaires for our research proposal. The survey went well and after that, we decided to take pictures of the stunning scenery of Lusong Cold Spring. We also bring our food and meals and water to save our money.

   

The lusong is not just famous for its clear water and cold spring but also for having its big rock formation. Some tourists love to jump from the big stone especially for those who know how to swim but for me who doesn’t know how to swim I just sit and dip in the water but I can recommend to you all how beautiful it is to experience the Tumipi and Lusong Cold Spring in Puting Bato, Agusan del Norte.

    The blog that I made is all about the tourist’s destinations here in Agusan del Norte and I want to show how beautiful is my province to visit and lastly, I want to share all of my experience from the different tourist’s destinations that I visit.
